FERRARI

THE SOUL OF RACING

Origin & Legacy

The Prancing Horse

Founded by Enzo Ferrari in 1939 as Auto Avio Costruzioni, the company initially produced race cars before officially becoming Ferrari S.p.A. in 1947. The first true Ferrari-badged car, the 125 S, marked the beginning of one of the most iconic automotive legacies.

The Prancing Horse (Cavallino Rampante) symbol represents speed, power, and Italian passion — originally used by WWI pilot Francesco Baracca and later adopted by Ferrari.

Ferrari today stands as a global symbol of:

  • Extreme performance
  • Racing heritage
  • Italian craftsmanship 🇮🇹

Headquarters

Ferrari is headquartered in Maranello. The factory has remained here since 1943 and includes the legendary Fiorano Circuit (private test track), advanced production facilities, and the Ferrari museum & design center.

Ethos & Tech

Exclusivity Rules

Ferrari carefully protects its brand prestige. Limited-edition cars like the Ferrari LaFerrari and Ferrari F40 are not freely sold. Buyers must be loyal Ferrari clients, own multiple Ferraris, and maintain a stellar brand reputation. This creates extreme demand and rarity.

Innovations

Ferrari is a pioneer in automotive technology, blending F1 tech with road performance for pure driver emotion:

  • First semi-automatic gearbox in F1 (1989)
  • Hybrid hypercar tech (LaFerrari, SF90)
  • Advanced Side Slip Control (SSC) system for precision handling
